Project description:

As part of the enlargement of Algeciras Port (biggest container operator in Spain), Maersk, concessionaire of the port, awarded the manufacture of the new 1,900 tn Super Post Panamax cranes to the company IMPSA.
We projected and directed the following works:

  • Execution of foundations in the manufacturing area for crane assembly.
  • Design of temporary road surfaces for all the work area
  • Design of a 1,000 meter transportation way to the barge loading pier.
  • Verification of concrete caissons to load cargo from cranes to barges.

In the execution of the works, the firm staff was present at the assembly site in order to approve the stage of the project before port authorities and Maersk officers, our staff also drafted the terms of reference for the execution of soil studies and other field studies and the works progress check.
