Project description:

This project consists in the expansion and adaptation of the floating berth in San Antonio Este Port to support container operations.

The floating berth is made up of pile-mounted pontoons. It is principally used for fishing industry activities and it supplements the main wharf of SAE, which is engaged mainly in fruit-loading activities.

The engineering project consists in widening the existing pontoons to enable truck operation and vessel loading, the incorporation of new pontoons to increase the length of the berth, the construction of mounting piles and of spring-like "mooring dolphins".

Additionally the study conducted the structural inspection and prepared the report that was part of the concession agreement between the port authority and PATAGONIA NORTH S. A.
